ETK/UTK is considered an extension of Kindergarten. It focuses on social-emotional development and language development using books, songs, and poems. 

The Heggerty phonemic awareness program is used each day to prepare kids to begin reading and writing.

It also  develops academic skills to prepare your child for Kindergarten. It starts with shapes and colors and moves on to the letters of the alphabet and the numbers 1-20.
